In the Studio with Dorothy Robinson
Dorothy Robinson is a NY-based painter, living and working in Peekskill, New York. She studied geography as an undergraduate and received an MFA in painting from UC Berkeley. She has exhibited her work in New York City and elsewhere on the East Coast and California. She has received individual artist support grants from the Pollock Krasner Foundation and the Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Foundation, and the Alexander Rutsch Award for Painting. Several artist residencies have been key to her development as a painter, including Caldera in central Oregon, the Constance Saltonstall Foundation near Ithaca, NY and the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation in New York City.
