In keeping with the company’s history, core values and principles, Avon has developed a major collection of photographs by women artists spanning from the late 1930s all the way to the first decade of the new millennium.Founded in 1886, Avon is a company that has been empowering women for more than 125 years and that “stands for beauty, innovation, optimism, and above all for women.” Avon and SRFA have been working together on a multi-phased effort for several office locations. As part of this process, SRFA has:
Managed the acquisition of contemporary paintings and works on paper by women artists that complement the collection and reflect the company’s commitments, brand and values;
Evaluated condition of the photography collection and provided accurate accession records;
Provided recommendations for future use of collection that included the re-siting of large-scale, outdoor sculptural works to Research & Development Facility.
